OK we finally took the plunge. We decided to buy this 6.6 acre piece of land in Mahopac, NY.
It's pretty difficult to find a property this large, with this much privacy, in this area, for this price.
I think I have a pretty good idea what it will take to build the house - cost, subcontractors, etc., but the big unknown is the site work, and all the preparations leading up to the actual pouring of the foundation. Hopefully that cost is not too great. We will see...
